Pagan
Pagan is a cross-disciplinary collective with a background in technology, film, interaction and games design. Pagan is connected by the joy of experimentation and make-believe. We develop new methodologies through commissions, residencies and education work. We combine manufactured objects and ideas with the natural world and use digital technologies to explore natural boundaries and modes of interaction between things. Process and performance is a crucial feature of our practice. We seek ways to combine ancient craft techniques with emerging media as well as revisiting ideas and technology deemed obsolete by market forces.
Pagan are Lisa Roberts, Daniel Blackburn and Tuomo Tammenpää from Kemiönsaari, Finland.

Nest
2021
NEST is a participatory installation that displays the faces of inquisitive visitors as they peek inside an unusual nest. Live CCTV footage is carefully monitored by the surveillance team in the restaurant nearby.
As individuals we take an active role in the surveillance of other living things with mobile phones, wild-life trackers and nest box cams. NEST considers how far technology has become part of our human nature.
This artwork is dedicated to the bird that wove material from our Camo sculpture into her nest during the 2019 Örö Residency Summer show.
